Personal Information
Fast becoming one of chuckwagon racing's rising stars, Jordie had his best season to date in placing 11th overall in the 2012 World Standings. He won the 2010 WPCA Top Rookie Driver Award and became just the fourth driver in WPCA history to qualify for the Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby in his rookie year. He drove the demonstration race at the 2012 Calgary Stampede GMC Rangeland Derby and was runner-up for the 2012 Strathmore Heritage Days Stampede. 2012 also saw Jordie post 12 top ten runs including 2 runs that placed inside the top five. He won his first WPCA day money on night 2 of the 2010 Battle of the North which put him into first place overall at the midpoint of the show. Jordie spent his first two years as a driver on the CPCA circuit where he won the Saskatoon Exhibition Derby and the CPCA Most Improved Driver award in 2009, and received the CPCA’s Most Sportsmanlike Driver award in 2008. Jordie is a 4th generation wagon man whose great-grandfather Wilbur David started the family tradition in the late 1950’s and his grandfather is chuckwagon legend Ron David. Jordie is the older brother to 2012 World Champion Outrider Chad Fike, and played 2 full seasons with the Portland Winter Hawks of the Western Hockey League. Jordie coaches the Cremona Cowboys Midget Hockey team in the off season, enjoys hockey and horse racing. Jordie  and his new bride Tamara make their home in High River, Alberta.
