Personal Information

One of the marquis drivers in professional chuckwagon racing today, Jason won his fourth career World Chuckwagon Championship in 2012, his right leader “Tycoon” was named to the Calgary Stampede’s inaugural Equine Outfit of Excellence, and he made his sixth trip to the GMC Rangeland Derby’s winner–take–all final. 2012 also saw Jason win the WPCA’s GMC Sierra Cup series, the Grande Prairie Stompede, and for the fourth time he had a horse named to the WPCA’s Equine Outfit of Excellence. He posted 24 top ten runs, including 4 first place runs and 8 runs that also placed inside the top five. He qualified for three winner–take–all championship final heats at the Grande Prairie Stompede, Calgary Stampede and the Battle of the North. Jason is a two–time Calgary Stampede Aggregate winner, received the Calgary Stampede’s prestigious Guy Weadick Award in 2010, and won two Calgary Stampede Safe Drive Awards for least penalized driver. He won the WPCA Clean Drive Award in 2008, was the WPCA's Top Rookie Driver in 1989, Top Rookie Outrider in 1987, received the WPCA's Most Improved Chuckwagon Outfit Award in 1990, and was WPCA’s Most Improved Outrider in 1988. He outrode for two Calgary Stampede GMC Rangeland Derby Championship outfits and three Calgary Stampede Aggregate winners. Jason is a 4th generation champion chuckwagon driver, whose father Tom Glass, grandfather Ronnie Glass, and great-grandfather Tom Lauder are some of the greatest names in the sport has ever known. Jason works in the movie industry as a stuntman and actor in the off-season, and has worked in the company of stars such as Eddie Murphy, Owen Wilson, Jackie Chan and Robert Duvall. Jason and his wife Brienne have two children – Bodie Kenneth and Steele Iris - make their home in High River, Alberta.
