Personal Information
One of the most exciting and successful young chuckwagon drivers around, Rae qualified for the Calgary Stampede’s inaugural “Semi Final Saturday” in 2009, has had three horses named to the WPCA's Equine Outfit of Excellence, and received the WPCA Showmanship Award for professionalism in 2002. 2012 saw Rae post 14 top ten runs including 5 runs that cracked the top five. Three of his top five runs were at the 2012 GMC Rangeland Derby, he qualified for the semi final round at the Ponoka Stampede, and placed in the top ten overall at four  shows in 2012 as well. Rae has won nine major show championships in his career including three Strathmore Heritage Days Stampedes, three Badlands Dinosaur Derbies, the Red Deer Chuckwagon Championship, the Grande Prairie Stompede and the Klondike Chuckwagon Derby in Edmonton. A former member of the CPCA, he won the CPCA’s Meadow Lake Stampede in 2001, the CPCA's High Point Rookie Outrider in 1996, the CPCA's High Point Rookie Driver in 1999, and the CPCA's Most Improved Driver in 2000. Rae is a third generation chuckwagon driver and is the son and grandson of former GMC Rangeland Derby finalists Bert Croteau and Ray Croteau, and is a cousin to fellow driver Chanse Vigen. Calgary Flames assistant captain Curtis Glencross is a member of the Croteau Chuckwagon Team. Rae and his wife Allison have 2 children - Cora Lynn and Ava Mae, and make their home in Bonnyville, Alberta.
