Personal Information
One of the most outstanding young chuckwagon drivers around, Logan's just completed his first season on the WPCA Pro Tour. He posted 12 top ten runs in 2012, including 5 runs that cracked the top five. He placed in the top ten overall at the North American Chuckwagon Championship and the Strathmore Heritage Days Stampede. Logan outrode for both of Luke Tournier’s Calgary Stampede GMC Rangeland Derby Championship Outfits and both of Tournier's Calgary Stampede Aggregate winners. Previously a member of the CPCA, Logan won 3 career show championships and once qualified for the winner–take–all final for the CPCA Championship in just 4 years of competing as a driver. He is a four–time CPCA Champion Outrider, won the CPCA High Point Rookie Driver Award in 2008, and has qualified for Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby three times. A third generation chuckwagon competitor, Logan is the grandson of former driver Art Gorst, son of current driver Gary Gorst, brother to outrider Dustin Gorst, cousin to CPCA driver Layne Bremner, and son–in–law of two–time Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Champion Luke Tournier. He and his wife Shalyn have two daughters - Danika and Tayva and make their home in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Logan works as an Electrician/Instrumentation Journeyman Technician with Flashpoint Electric at the Cenovus Foster Creek site in the off season and plays hockey for the Meadow Lake Stampeders.
